The Story Named for the blessed offering (prasad) presented at the feet of the goddess, the Devi Prasad necklace is a devotional object as much as it is an adornment. At its centre hangs a cast silver plaque bearing a deity in seated, sovereign form, framed by a border of stamped floral motifs that echo the archways of ancient temple gopurams. Flanking the pendant on either side, a pair of architectural silver amulets, stupa-like in form, clustered with granulated silver balls, speak of pilgrimage, protection, and the sacred geometry of Indian temple architecture. A necklace for someone who wears meaning as consciously as they wear beauty.
The Craft The centrepiece plaque is cast in silver and worked in repoussé, with a deity scene rendered in confident high relief within a decorative rectangular frame. Each of the two flanking amulets is a sculptural composition in its own right, a tiered, temple-spire form topped with a dense cluster of hand-finished silver granules, their patina deepened over time to a rich verdigris that records every year of their history. The contrast between the dark, ancient silver of the amulets and the gloss of the malachite beads creates a visual tension that makes this necklace impossible to ignore.
The Materials The pendant and flanking amulets are forged in oxidised sterling silver, carrying an aged patina that is entirely natural and part of the piece's character. They are strung on a generous strand of hand-selected malachite rondelle beads, deep, swirling green with the unmistakable banding of natural stone, giving the necklace both weight and a lushness that feels as ancient as the earth it came from.
